Description

Thank you for checking out “Take the Lead” Backing Tracks For Blues Guitar. Let the Mission San Leandro Blues Band be your backing band whenever you feel like playing. All you have to do is pick a track and “Take the Lead.”

We have been overwhelmed with the response to this CD from the eBay Community. Over the last couple of years we have sold hundreds of copies of this CD with nothing but 100% positive feedback from very satisfied buyers.

This is a collection of 13 original backing tracks designed to be the perfect practice tool. Whether you play electric or acoustic, like a raw beginner or a seasoned pro, these tracks will work for you. There is over 70 minutes of music on the disc and each of the 13 tracks is in the range of 5-6 minutes long. The long track length allows for plenty of time to find the sweet spot with your solo before moving on to the next track. The tracks have the bass, drums, rhythm guitar, and percussion. The band is rockin’ the pocket, but there is no lead guitar. Since these are all original tracks you are not trying to copy someone else’s lead, you are free to create what you feel works with the track. This allows you to work on your creativity and sharpen your skills. You will not find a better practice tool anywhere. What you have here is essentially a smoking band waiting for YOU to “Take the Lead”.

To make the CD user friendly…..

  • Each track begins with the track name that contains the suggested key for your solo.
  • The tracks are in alphabetical order based on the suggested solo key: This allows you to simply slide up the neck with each track to the next scale starting point
  • All of the tracks are written and performed with some form of a “I, IV, V” standard blues chord progression to work perfectly with the Pentatonic Minor scale.
  • And purely for style….  The CD itself is made to resemble a vintage vinyl record, grooves and all.

Sound samples can be heard, and purchases can be made on the web by going to CDBaby and searching by the band name or title.
